I am a dedicated freelance horse groom with a lifelong passion for horses and a strong foundation in professional animal care. I am an ABTC Animal Trainer Accredited practitioner (registered under Emily Hanley), with expertise in science-based training, behaviour, and welfare-focused handling. I have also completed a Trauma-Informed Horse Trainer certification with Emma Lethbridge, further shaping my compassionate, horse-centred approach. For seven years, I worked as a Lead Keeper with Asian Elephants at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, where I developed advanced skills in high-level animal management, behavioural observation, and positive reinforcement training. This role demanded consistency, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to maintaining the highest standards of welfare. I bring a calm, knowledgeable, and empathetic approach to every horse I work with, prioritising their wellbeing, understanding their behaviour, and building trust through thoughtful, ethical care.
