Lyla Lewis

I’ve been around horses since I was a child, helping out with a family friends horses. I would go up to muck out and groom the horses because I just wanted to spend as much time as I could around them. Between October 2024 and October 2025 I worked as an equine care assistant/teaching assistant. I taught people of all ages with special educational needs how to look after horses and other animals like goats, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens. The horses at this yard were a mix of ex-racehorses and the owners personal horses including shetlands and happy hackers. Currently, I am working as a freelance groom. On Mondays and Fridays I do the Am and Pm shift on a yard with 5 horses. These horses are a mix of show jumpers and eventers.
