Experience

I'm a highly experienced and dedicated Equine Virtual Assistant with over 40 years immersed in the equine industry. I bring a deep understanding of the sector combined with strong administrative expertise, including drafting bespoke livery yard contracts, handling client inquiries, booking appointments and conducting industry-specific research. With a background in mentoring students for equine exams and supporting the daily operations of a busy livery and training yard, I offer practical, tailored virtual support to equestrian businesses. Currently assisting a successful yard owner, I'm now expanding my services to help other professionals streamline their operations and focus more on their horses and clients. Skills

Office
Let me tell you a bit about myself - my name is Julie, I've been around horses since I was about 12 years old, the usual stuff like begging rides on friends ponies, riding lessons, helping out at the local stables at every opportunity. I was about 20 when I was gifted my first horse (a 16.2h Cleveland Bay X) and so began my life running a livery yard for about 20 odd horses. After many happy years life happened and things changed as it were but my interest never waned. My desire to become more involved again led me to becoming a 'mature student' and I studied for an HND in Equine Management which I gained with a Distinction I'm happy to say. During my life I've been lucky enough to known some wonderful horses including my heart horse - a stunning chestnut Irish TB who was a retired National Hunt racehorse. He was so laid back he was almost horizontal at times but occasionally, just occasionally he would catch you by surprise and then you needed your wits about you! He saw me through my darkest days when I was treated for cancer - he owed me nothing, I owed him everything and I miss him terribly to this day as sadly he crossed the rainbow bridge after several wonderful years together. I've been retired on medical grounds now for a few years but have kept myself busy as a PA for a close friend who runs her own yard. I find it very rewarding to be able to use my knowledge and experience in helping others. I hope that I will be able to help you too in one way or another.
