How to Set Up Your Payments with Stripe (for Freelancers)To receive payments for jobs you complete on TallyHO Temps, you'll need to set up a secure account with Stripe.
This only takes a few minutes and lets you receive money directly to your bank account.Here's a simple step-by-step guide to help you.
Go to your dashboard and click "Finance"
Then click "Connect Stripe Account"
You’ll be taken to a secure Stripe page to enter your details.
This is how we make sure you get paid safely and securely.
Step 1: Enter phone number Enter an email address
Step 2: Enter:
Your full name
Your date of birth
Your home address
Phone number (if you haven't done so already)
Stripe needs this to confirm your identity (this is normal and required by law for anyone receiving payments).
Step 3: Stripe will ask for your bank account information so it knows where to send your money.
Add a bank account
Make sure this is the account where you want to receive your payments.
You can use a normal UK bank account — it doesn’t need to be a business account.
Earnings that you receive will be sent to this account 2 days after the job has been signed off as completed.
Step 4:
Stripe will show you a summary in review and submit.
Personal details will show "incomplete" This is because you will now need to add ID.
Click edit.
Scroll down to ID Verification and click Upload Document.
Upload passport/driving license or other accepted forms of ID.
Check everything is correct, then hit Submit.You’re done! 🎉
Your account is now connected, and you’ll automatically receive payments after completing jobs.
Other Information
The following should be automated but just in case:
If you are asked for your "Business Type" Select Individual / Sole Trader
If you are asked “What type of business do you have?” — Select Personal Services
Even if you’re not registered as a business, this is the correct option.
It just means you’re being paid as a person, not a company.
If you are asked for a website enter TallyHO Temps https://www.TallyHOTemps.com ( Copy and Paste )
Stripe just wants to know where you are selling your services.
